My New Tube Idea
Written by: admin (7) comments so far... What's your take?Let me start by first saying that I have yet to find a tube site owner that is willing to talk about his sites stats. I am not sure if it is because they are absolutely rolling in money, or if it is because they are embarrassed at their lack of sales. What I have heard from a friend of a friend of a friend is that they spend and enormous amount of money each month on bandwidth. One tube site in particular is rumored to have spent $24k on bandwidth last month alone.
In my opinion there are 2 kinds of tube sites, legal and illegal. The difference being that legal tube sites have clips that are no longer than 3 minutes in length and the person uploading the clips has permission from the content owner to do so. An illegal tube site is one that has a bunch of full length movies that have be ripped and upload by a user that most likely is not even an adult webmaster.

A while back I wrote a short blog post about a tube site that I planned on launching. My host has taken forever to get back to me on the project and I am glad he did. After doing more research, I have decided to change up my plans. While I am sure there is money to made with a "normal" tube site, and by that I mean one that covers all niches, I am going to hold off on homohub.com and am going to launch a handful of niche specific tube sites.
The reason I am switching to niche specific is simple, money. I have a feeling that a niche specific site is going to do a better job of converting people who are looking for a ton of free porn into sales. After all, my niche specific tgp’s seem to do a great job of converting sales, so I am hoping my niche specific tube sites will do the same.
I still plan on using a tightened up version of Clip Share just like the one currently being used by Gaytube.com on all my sites. One major difference is going to be my upsells. I have no plans to promote dating or camsites on any of my upcoming tube sites. Each site will have ads for paysites that match the niche of the tube site. If after a couple weeks I am not making any money, I may reconsider and go with dating upsells.
Today I am going to register 5-10 new domains to be used for this project. I have a feeling it’s going to be difficult to find some good ones due to how popular tube sites have become. I am not a fan of .net’s or domains with dashes in them but I may have to settle and get both. I will post another update to this project as soon as I have my first site up and running so you can see exactly what I am doing
Let me know if you have any questions or if you think I am totally crazy for trying to make money on tube sites. I am curious to hear what you think.

I am glad you posted about tubes.. Thank u
You are totally right. It seems no one is willing to talk about it.. some taboo haha.
But the pussycat will eventually walk out of the bag… Or maybe it already did & conversions are really shit.
As for you trying it, i think its a good idea.. But 5-10 would be a killer. cos of the bandwidth.
I would be too chicken to do that.. But i can see that, u arent no small talker.. You hit hard on projects.
The only thing stopping me from opening a tube is that i hate giving 2 much free stuff online. I might have to get used to doing that though.. But my mind isnt conditioned for it yet.
Anyways.. before i write a book.. Im out. .. good post & good luck with the projects..

The only reason I launch multiple sites is that in my experience, 1 is good but many makes me more $.

Actually, i wasnt against u making many sites.
I respect your hustle
But i was just wondering, if it was a good idea to have many tubes.
I guess you have to test it, to find out.
all the very best

Any progress on this project yet?

It’s taking longer than planned. It is A LOT harder to find someone proficient in both template design and script installation than I thought it would be. Will be posting a detailed update on this, as well as the rest of my projects this week.

i’d be surprised if you break even with these, assuming you’re still building them

I have one almost live and many more in the works. Even if they only break even as far as generating sales go, with the enormous amount of traffic they pull, I am confident that I’ll make some decent money selling ad spots.
